Maui 2013

We had a fantastic time in Maui with our friends Scott and Heidi Smith.  Here are the highlights...

Diving with the sea turtles from the Hula Girl catamaran

 

The road to Hana with black sand beaches, banyan trees, and beautiful bamboo forests with huge waterfalls.

 Swimming in the Seven Sacred Pools

A little golf at the Bay Course at Kapalua

Biking (or coasting) down over 5.000 vertical feet at the Haleakala volcano.

A helicopter ride over the island and neighboring Lanai

And of course time at the beach

Xterra Beaver Creek Triathlon

Dave Koenig and I participated in the Beaver Creek Xterra off road triathlon. 1/2 mile lake swim, 9 mile mountain bike UP the mountain, then a 3 mile run, up the side of the mountain.  I didn't drown. I finished. That's about it for the highlights. The family came up and we had a great time.

Rachel's 4th

Rachel had her 4th birthday party - a very fancy Fancy Nancy party

 The guests were greeted with very fancy Tutus and fancy words to use

 

Then there was a fancy tea party

 and mom read a Fancy Nancy story

 The girls made fancy headbands with flowers (with some help from Lance)

 and help from Addy as well

Of course there was a fancy teapot cake (which mom made)

and hopefully Rachel's wishes will come true

Everyone had a wonderful, fancy time
